Oh my... it's time for me to regain my command of English... So this short and wonderfully non-informative entry would be in the language of Shakespeare and Doctor Who.
As you might have heard a while ago I went to Siberia to visit relatives.
I went there by train. Two nights in the train. 35 hours of travelling hell ^^` Well, really, it was not my first trip by railroad, not even the longest one. I am not saying that it was the worst train or anything... No, railways didn't surprise me whatsoever - the same good old level of inconvenience ^_~
My destination point was Surgut and here you can see it on the map (A is Ufa and B is Surgut in case you are not sure ^.^ )
As you might get from the word "Siberia", from the map or from Wikipedia - Surgut is situated in subarctic climate zone. That means cool; in the meaning "cold" you know. Surprisingly the weather was very welcoming. In fact it was much warmer than in Ufa! Good news for me, bad news for the global climate probably... Definitely bad news for taiga*, there were forest fires this summer...
The most exciting part of my trip was made by reindeers. It was first time I saw so many of them, they were enjoying the relative freedom and I could even touch them! Oh my, they are SO CUTE @_@ !! You know their horns are covered with fur and THEY ARE WARM. The cutiest (I strongly suspect there is no such word but can't think of anything better) thing I ever touched. Better than kittens. Well, actually I don't like cats at all just tried to make a point ^_~ ... I haven't got pictures on my camera but maybe I will upload something later.
What I've got pictures of are squirrels. They were in the city park and they didn't want sunflower seeds. But nevertheless they came to check the offerings.
I've got also an amazing 4 seconds long video of this wildlife ^_~ Enjoy!
Thank you!
*taiga - the swampy coniferous forest of high northern latitudes, especially that between tundra and steppes of Siberia (from ODO)
